Ready-to-Work

Ready-to-Work

Michigan

Members who live and work in Michigan have access to an automated Out-of-Work system called MIX 20/20, which is used for job dispatching and member communication.

If you become unemployed or are laid off, you must call MIX 20/20 at 1-877-846-9802 to place yourself on the Out-of-Work list. To remain active, you are required to update your status at least once every 30 days.

Accessing MIX 20/20

MIX 20/20 is available 24/7 by calling 1-877-846-9802.

When prompted:

  • Enter your User ID, which is your UBC Member ID

  • Enter your PIN

    • First-time callers should use the last four digits of their SSN as their initial PIN

    • You will be prompted to change your PIN during your first call

If you forget your PIN, please contact us at 1-888-426-6379 for assistance.

What You Can Do Through MIX 20/20

By calling the system, members can:

  • Place themselves on the Out-of-Work list (if unemployed)

  • Remove themselves from the Out-of-Work list

  • Listen to Council and Local news announcements (when available)

  • Review their designated skills

  • Review their approved geographical work areas

Job Dispatch Process

When a job becomes available, MIX 20/20 automatically contacts registered members based on:

  • Required skills

  • Designated geographic location

  • Length of time on the Out-of-Work list (longest-listed members are called first)

Job calls are made Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Weekend calls may occur if a job dispatch is required.

IMPORTANT

All members must have a completed Geographical and Skills Data Sheet on file. Without this paperwork, you cannot be placed on the Out-of-Work list. Please contact 1-877-846-9802 for skills sheet information
