Renewable Energy
Fast Growing Industry
Renewable energy is useful energy that is collected from renewable resources, which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, including carbon neutral sources like sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat.
With improved technology and economies of scale in production, the cost of solar power continues to drop, making it more competitive with fossil fuels. With an increase in marketplace acceptance and government incentives, renewable energy is the fastest growing industry in North America.
EVERY day, on every WORK SITE, OUR MEMBERS BRING:
SAFETY
Constant attention to safety is ingrained in our membership, from our leadership to our apprentices. We work with our partners to proactively ensure safety and resolve individual safety issues as they occur.
DEDICATION
We come to work every day with a positive attitude, a professional appearance, and a determination to finish the job correctly on time, the first time.
AVAILABILITY
Our thousands of members enable our contractors to be fully staffed at all times, which allows for quick response to emergencies and other challenges.
PRODUCTIVITY
Meeting the schedule is key, and our disciplined, reliable crews know that fast, accurate installations are essential.
FLEXIBILITY
We keep projects on time and on budget using strategies fine-tuned to customer needs. We compress schedules, adjust staffing numbers and modify work-hours, work-days and work-weeks to get the job done.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
We finish projects according to the customer’s satisfaction— and we follow through with training, maintenance and customer service. One call puts the best-trained maintenance crews at the work site to get the system up and running as fast as possible.
Solar Power is energy from the sun that is harnessed using a range of ever-evolving technologies such as solar heating, photovoltaics, solar thermal energy, solar architecture, molten salt power plants and artificial photosynthesis. Solar technologies can harness this energy for a variety of uses, including generating electricity, providing light, and heating water for domestic, commercial, or industrial use.
Our pile drivers, millwrights and carpenters possess superior training and the skills necessary to safely and efficiently perform the assigned solar work.
They perform multi-craft tasks on a wide range of solar projects from residential, commercial/industrial rooftops and ground mount, community and utility scale solar systems throughout the midwest. Tasks include the installation of steel purlins, ground or roof mounts, ballasted, fixed, single, dual-axis mechanical tilting, or canopy racking assemblies, all fasteners and connecting hardware along with the photovoltaic modules in their entirety.
Wind Energy (wind power) refers to the process of creating electricity using the wind or air flows that occur naturally in the earth’s atmosphere. Modern wind turbines are used to capture kinetic energy from the wind and generate electricity.
Our carpenters and millwrights have a long history of involvement within the wind energy industry. The installation teams combine agility and responsiveness to meet any aggressive project deadlines. Providing an efficient skilled workforce from the start of the project. Our carpenters are trained and skilled for forming the foundation pedestals and setting the cages; then our skilled millwrights install the precision torqued sequence bolting patterns securing the tower stems. Our millwrights are the craft of choice for installing the engineered wind turbine blades to the generator and completing all the final assemblies of the power generation tower system.
