Floor Coverers

Floor Coverers install and finish a wide range of commercial and residential flooring, from carpet and wood to vinyl, rubber, and tile. They receive specialized manufacturer training through the INSTALL program, work primarily indoors, follow strict safety practices, and usually work in teams. Math, geometry, drafting, and woodworking skills are helpful in this trade.

Lathers

Lathers install plaster and stucco and hand-craft decorative architectural elements such as arches, domes, columns, and curved ceilings, creating both structural and artistic features in buildings.
