Wage Theft Settlement Puts Bad Acting Contractors on Notice
On April 27, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry announced the largest wage theft settlement in state history, a major win for workers and the construction industry. Following a thorough investigation sparked by 26 courageous workers, construction contractors were held accountable for denying proper pay across multiple Twin Cities projects. This long-fought victory was made possible by worker bravery, relentless advocacy from business representatives, and DLI’s commitment to enforcement. In total, Advantage Construction will pay back wages and PMC will pay damages, totaling $1.28 million. Read more below.
